Guide on buying free duty goods from Labuan island

Please find below guidelines on free duty goods quantity or value that allowed to bring from Labuan exempted from duty. Please be reminded you will pay for the excess only.


Article 11, Custom Dutis (Exemption) Order 2017

Tourist, passenger or crew must stay in Labuan at least 24hours with (proof),

Allowed to bring :

  1. Wine, spirit, beer, malt liquor not exceeding one (1) litre in all
  2. New apparels not exceeding THREE (3)pieces
  3. New footwear not exceeding ONE (1) pair
  4. Food preparations to a total value not exceeding RM 150.00
  5. Portable electrical or battery operated appliances for personal care and hygiene not exceeding ONE (1) unit each
  6. All goods other than item (1) and (2) and tyres and tubes, to a total value not exceeding RM500.00

NOTE

If tourist, passenger or crew in excess of the quantity or value of goods exempted, he / she shall be liable to pay duty on the excess only.
